Welcome to the Budo Institute
TAKEDA RYU NAKAMURA HA is taught in the Budo Institute.
It is one of the oldest, still existing, japanese martial arts.
Japanese martial arts are summarized under the term called BUJUTSU. Nowadays only a handfull of martial arts are still existing, which look back on such a long tradition.
"TAKEDA" is the name of the family, who created the school. "RYU" means family or school. "NAKAMURA HA" means "from Nakamura", who today is the head of the school.
TAKEDA RYU NAKAMURA HA looks back on a 800 year old history and the secret knowledge of the school was passed on to 44 Generations of Sokes (=Head of the school) until today.
The efficiency, the elegance and its authenticity makes TAKEDA RYU NAKAMURA HA unique in Europe.
The Budo Institut was established by Walter Schwenk and it is also under his supervision.
Soke Nakamura, present head of the school worldwide, authorized him to use the name, the logo and to teach the techniques of TAKEDA RYU NAKAMURA HA. He is also direct student and representative as well as official member of the Nihon Sobudo Rengokai, which is the japanese organisation of Soke Nakamura.
There are some other schools in Europe, which proclaim to be Takeda Ryu. None of them has contact to Japan and has the legitimation of Soke Nakamura. Therefore original TAKEDA RYU NAKAMURA HA can not be found there.
TAKEDA RYU NAKAMURA HA teaches five main-disciplines.
It is taught daily in the Budo Institute.
The Budo Institute is located in the Institut Wolkenstein.
